XRP Buy Signal Flashes, Martinez Notes $1.25 Key Level for Rebound
The asset's trajectory is largely contingent upon the critical $1.25 threshold, according to Ali Martinez.
Ripple's cross-border token has seen a decline of approximately 15% across the last month, currently trading near $1.30, per CoinGecko data. However, the appearance of a specific indicator suggests a substantial upward move might be imminent.
Popular analyst Ali Martinez reported that XRP's TD Sequential indicator signaled a purchase on the three-day chart. He noted that the three prior similar configurations resulted in price increases of 31%, 24%, and 18%. Martinez asserted that the bullish outcome relies on the significant $1.25 level. He stated, "Hold it, and XRP could rebound toward $1.40. Lose it while whales continue taking profits, and $0.98 could be next."
This cautionary statement follows a prior communication detailing worrying factors suggesting a deeper pullback past the $1 psychological mark might materialize. Martinez mentioned that some of the largest holders on the XRP Ledger seemed to be reducing their holdings. Furthermore, the volume of XRP residing on exchanges has increased, intensifying immediate selling pressure.
Regarding technical analysis, Martinez indicated, "The technical level I'm watching is $1.26, the lower boundary of a channel XRP has been forming since August." He added that a breach beneath that support could initially drive XRP toward $1.11. The channel pattern ultimately projects toward $0.98, representing a 22% drop from $1.26, he previously stated.
Earlier this week, Ripple announced a major expansion of its Treasury platform, enabling qualified enterprises to manage cash positions, settlements, and liquidity while potentially earning returns on assets like the stablecoin RLUSD. The organization also obtained final authorization from the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) for Ripple National Trust Bank, which is designed to manage RLUSD's supporting reserves and serve as a collateral trustee for token holders.
X user Aman commented that XRP has not surged as anticipated but believes a price surge toward $2 is "coming very soon." This sentiment suggests that renewed institutional interest could aid a future recovery. Spot XRP ETFs returned to positive territory last week, recording a net inflow of roughly $4.25 million.
These developments reflect ongoing market scrutiny regarding the interplay between fundamental corporate advancements and technical indicators within the digital asset ecosystem.
Why it matters
This technical analysis highlights the speculative nature of XRP's price movements, which is relevant to discussions around asset valuation in DeFi ecosystems. Readers should watch whether this buy signal can overcome recent selling pressure and institutional hesitancy to confirm a sustained upward trend.
