SOL price analysis shows bullish targets to $500, $210, $200, while caution remains near $100 level
The native token of Solana has seen a notable decline over the last month, currently trading just above the $100 mark while consolidating.
Some market participants view this as a critical juncture, unable to determine the trajectory of the subsequent significant price action.
Several analysts maintain a strongly bullish stance, anticipating a swift surge in the asset's value. Merlijn The Trader, a popular X user, shared a chart indicating a textbook head-and-shoulders pattern on the weekly timeframe, suggesting a potential major increase toward $210.
Sweep, another X user, recently identified this same formation, implying the asset is positioned for increased volatility and a possible rise to approximately $200. Joep Gerla also contributed, positing that SOL is preparing for a substantial rally following two years of accumulation, a shakeout to $60, and a recent recovery to the "old range floor" near $100. Gerla specifically predicted, "The next major expansion could send SOL toward $500."
Crypto Tice is also optimistic, noting that SOL surpassed a trendline that had remained intact for 52 weeks. This support above $95 could enable a move toward $126.
Conversely, FOUR | Crypto Spaces adopted a more reserved outlook. This X user stated SOL is in "a very interesting spot" presently, with its next movement heavily contingent upon the $100 level. The analyst detailed: "$100 holds → $114 next. $100 breaks → $88 is waiting." They cautioned that "Solana bulls need to defend this zone, or things could get ugly really quick imo."
Jia Crypto anticipates "a big move" toward the end of October but remains uncertain regarding its direction, advising, "The market is really grinding, so trade cautiously and wait until the direction is clear before placing any trades."
Bearish indicators are supported by weak institutional demand. Spot SOL ETFs experienced substantial outflows, with more than $17 million exiting these products last week. Solana's exchange netflow reflects a similar pattern, where inflows have recently outweighed outflows, suggesting a migration from self-custody to centralized platforms, which heightens immediate selling pressure.
These divergent expert forecasts underscore the current uncertainty surrounding the asset's immediate future. The confluence of technical pattern recognition and institutional capital flows highlights the complex dynamics governing the token's price action.
Why it matters
While this focuses on Solana, the volatility discussed reflects broader market uncertainty regarding asset direction. Investors should monitor key technical levels, as these can signal shifts in market sentiment across various protocols and layers.
