Nineteen users associated with the BNB-based prediction market, Predict Fun, have experienced a draining incident resulting in losses totaling approximately $260,000, with indications that further losses may occur.

Crypto analyst "Dethective" reported being drained for about $5,000 in an event linked to Predict Fun. These misappropriated assets were moved first to the Ethereum network and subsequently transferred to the crypto mixer Tornado Cash. Dethective stated, “I think there's something wrong going on with Predict Fun and I am not the only victim."

Subsequently, analyst "Naeven" tracked funds drained from these 19 Predict Fun participants, estimating the total amount at 105 ETH, which equates to roughly $260,000. Naeven noted, "I've identified 19 victims who have been drained of a total of 105 ETH (~$260K)."

Naeven further cautioned users, adding, “There are likely more victims,” and advised participants to move any remaining funds out of Predict Fun.

Predict Fun, a prediction market similar to Polymarket, operates within Binance’s BNB ecosystem. It is a product stemming from CZ’s investment firm and was supported by Binance founder Changpeng Zhao.

The platform was incubated and invested in by YZI Labs, which previously operated as Binance Labs. Crypto tracker DefiLlama records Predict Fun's 2026 earnings as slightly over $9 million.

This incident highlights vulnerabilities within DeFi protocols, specifically concerning the movement and security of assets bridged to major chains like Ethereum before reaching mixers.

Market participants and institutions should observe how these draining events affect trust in decentralized prediction markets operating within established ecosystems.

Why it matters

This incident highlights significant security risks within DeFi protocols, particularly those operating on specific ecosystems. Readers should monitor how this exploit impacts the perceived security of prediction markets and the flow of assets to mixers like Tornado Cash.
